For surgical safety purposes, our surgery suite is an enclosed room that is kept sterile.  Anesthesia machines, heart monitoring equipment, and a separate x-ray viewer are all kept in the surgery suite.  All sterile surgeries are performed in this room.  In our surgery suite, we keep all items needed to perform surgery, all within the doctor’s reach.  At University Parkway Animal Hospital, we take special care to ensure that each patient has received routine pre-anesthetic screening prior to surgery.
